The Student Life Association at a state university received a grant to promote programs for first-year students that focused on health, wellness and nutrition. The goal of the program was to give students tips and resources to develop healthy habits as many were living on their own for the first time. The school had a local chef come in and teach classes on meal-prepping using interesting and healthy ingredients. Each class attendee received a free #51018 Koozie® Rectangle Food Container and were able to build their own meals alongside the chef during the interactive presentation. In addition to the containers, students received recipe idea cards from the chef to encourage making healthy meal choices.
The school created a hashtag for the program and monitored its use on social media as one measurement of the program’s impact. They were pleased to see the recipes and containers in many of the mentions, and felt the popularity of the class helped secure another grant for a similar program the following year.
