Today we honor members of our Web Team for their parts in developing and launching the all new bicgraphic.com! This group collaborated and worked together to find success on this long-term project demonstrating our One Team People Power, and ended up delivering an exceptional web experience for our customers.
Melissa Deisher, Sales Operation Associate
Melissa has been with BIC Graphic NA for 12 years working in various departments as an artist, working with the pre-press team and training new artists before landing in the Marketing Team. Her day-to-day role is always changing whether that means being part of the Website Team, coordinating promos/web specials or scheduling webinars for our Sales Team and more!
She has greatly helped in configuring and setting up items on the new website. She is most proud of setting up our most complex kits with our customers in mind, which included taking 50+ order entry selections on a product and simplifying them for quick and easy online ordering. Melissa would like to recognize her colleague Laurel Holm for her assistance with set-up. She says, “Laurel was always pulling product data reports for Christie and I like; charges, lead times, imprint locations, imprint methods – the list goes on and on. If she wasn’t pulling data, Laurel was helping us validate and review inconsistent product data to ensure the new website was ready for launch day.”
Fun Facts about Melissa: She and her husband love taking their two chihuahuas camping – shout out to Buddy & Ruby! They load up their mountain bikes, fishing kayaks, and Koozie® Kamp gear to explore the Florida wilderness and state parks. She loves to cook over the campfire, especially when they have a fresh catch or are trying a new recipe such as bacon-wrapped onion bombs!
Harish Nukala, Web Developer
Since September 2018, Harish has been working with BIC Graphic NA as a Web Developer responsible for developing and maintaining web applications. As part of the Web Team, he was involved in the design of the Operational Data Source (ODS) which is the source of truth for our website. He developed micro services which are consumed by the new website to display orders, order status, inventory etc.
Harish is most proud of all the features available on the website as it took lot of effort from various departments in the company, especially the IT and Marketing Teams for creating a successful site that is a true asset to the company.
He is appreciative of the efforts of Kanchana Venkatesan, Manager ODS, Guarav Nagar, Integration Developer, and Chanpreet Khanuja, Business Analyst, for the new website. Kanchana for leading the project, Chanpreet for being the driving force from EBS and Guarav for being the backbone of the Integrations Team during Go-Live.
Fun Facts about Harish: He loves playing cricket and plays almost every weekend! He also loves traveling with his wife and friends.
Beth McEntegart, Business Analyst
Beth started with BIC Graphic NA 14 years ago in Order Management and made a stop at IT before joining the Marketing Team. She is currently a Business Analyst working with Salesforce and customer-facing documents.
As part of the Web Team, Beth worked with online ordering, using the prior expertise she gained from working in Order Management for eleven years. She assisted with requirements and testing and brought a lot of Order Entry knowledge to the table, so she is most proud of the new website’s simple online ordering – duh!
Beth would like to recognize Rob Meier, Web Manager, for always listening to her crazy Order Management thoughts and processes.
Fun Facts about Beth: She has two daughters who love to dance, but Beth says she isn’t a crazy dance mom like on the Dance Moms TV show. Artem Chigvintsev from Dancing with the Stars and Total Bella’s was at one of her daughters’ dance competitions this year. According to Beth, they “stalked. . . ummm I mean tracked” him down for a photo!
Chanpreet Khanuja, IT IS-EBS Financials Business Analyst
Chanpreet has been with BIC Graphic NA for 2 year and 7 months, first as a contract Functional Finance BA and transitioning to a full-time IT/IS-EBS Financials Business Analyst a year ago. She works on all finance modules, most extensively working on Salesforce and the Website Integration Project over the past year.
In her role, Chanpreet works closely with different areas of our business to gather requirements and assist with understanding the functionality of Oracle. For the new website, she supported the Integration Team and gathered business requirements to implement the real time flow of necessary data. By being actively involved with the end to end unit testing of all the interfaces, Chanpreet was able to resolve the functional issues that occurred during development and as the site moved into production.
Chanpreet loves the fact (and feels proud) that it’s so easy to place orders on the new website. Also, how easy it is to access through mobile, which allows customers to search for products at any time. She would like to recognize each and every member of her team because it was amazing to work with them on different tasks. Their teamwork helped them overcome any obstacle in resolving reported issues and their individual areas of expertise helped the site Go-Live. She feels fortunate to have such a great team who is willing to go above and beyond to find solutions.
Fun Facts about Chanpreet: She loves shopping, traveling to new places, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves music and dancing because it refreshes her mind! EDM is her favorite music genre.
Christie Hooper, Product Data Coordinator
Christie has worked at BIC Graphic NA for close to 2 years as part of the Marketing Team. Her main responsibility in the development of the all new bicgraphic.com was to help set up the online ordering configuration for all products.
When it comes to the website, Christie is most proud of the ongoing effort to keep the product data clean and consistent across all categories because it will directly impact her role moving forward. When asked who she would like to recognize when it comes to the website she said, “100% Laurel Holm! She is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and all-around AWESOME!”
Fun Facts about Christie: She has a twin sister and would live life barefoot (or in flip flops) if she could!
Guarav Nagar, Integration Developer
Guarav has been with BIC Graphic for two wonderful years as an Integration Developer on the IT Team. His day-to-day focus is on integrating internal and external systems. On the Web Team, his role was focused on data loading into the new site and making sure it was accurate. He also led the development of the “Customer Tools” on the website and management of the Operational Data Store (ODS).
Guarav is most proud of the Customer Tools, the proof upload/approval and the quick search functionality for order information because these are all ways the new website benefits our customers. He would like to recognize several team members for their help in developing the new site:
- Tommy Craddock (Infrastructure System Administrator) for making himself available for any infrastructure-related assistance.
- Chanpreet Khanuja for handling the EBS side and supporting with data loads.
- Harish Nukala for helping develop backend functionality to support the website’s core functionality of order search and data load.
- Kanchana Venkatesan for managing and guiding everyone through the whole process and handling business communications.
- Dinesh Velusamy (Integration Developer) for developing functionality to accept web orders.
Fun Facts about Guarav: He loves traveling! Last year he and his friends went on a seven day trip exploring all the places along Highway 1 in California. He is also looking forward to an upcoming trip to beautiful Havasu Falls.
