Photo Licensor – Product Management – Sleepy Eye, Minnesota

Today we recognize Shelly Fischer for her role as a Photo Licensor in the Product Management Department at our Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, facility.

Shelly has 25 total years of experience working for Koozie Group. Her current focus is on calendars, which involves researching and purchasing the images used on our calendar lines, then coordinating all the information necessary for the production team to create the product.

As far as what she is currently working on, believe it or not, Shelly is now finishing up the 2024 calendar line. With so much time and attention devoted to this type of product, it’s no wonder that her favorite item is the 1715 Sunrise Sunset calendar.

As for her favorite part of being a Koozie Group employee, Shelly says it’s the team of people she works with every day.

“We know our products well and we work together to create a fresh look year after year. Also, in this position, you learn a lot about different topics. I enjoy looking at beautiful landscape photography or artwork of any kind, but I know more about antique tractors and ducks than I care to,” she said with a smile.

One recent team achievement that Shelly is particularly proud of is the smooth acquisition of the HotLine® Products brand of calendars.

“The timing of the purchase required some quick and solid decisions, and we basically created and moved three years’ worth of HotLine® Products calendars through this facility in about 14 months,” she said.

As for which People Power she is most passionate about, Shelly is partial toward “Own It.”

“It describes our team best,” she said. “The best results come from teams who can communicate well, are deadline driven, and can be honest about what’s working or not working.”

In her spare time, Shelly enjoys walking, reading, and watching TV and movies. She also likes hanging out with her high school sweetheart, Cory, as they watch their three “big kids” begin to navigate adulthood.

Thank you, Shelly, for a quarter century of hard work and also for hunting down the perfect images and making sure the production process starts off on the right foot!
