All BIC® writing instruments produced at our Clearwater, FL facility are reviewed by a product safety specialist. In fact, BIC® writing instrument imprints must pass 10 quality tests so your imprint won’t fade or scratch.
Inks used in all BIC® writing instruments are approved by a toxicologist at Duke University Medical Center under the WIMA or ACMI Certification Program. Ink cartridges are analyzed for up to three years to test shelf life and write-out times.
Components of BIC® cartridges are produced by the highest-quality cartridge manufacturers from all over the world. Points are made of stainless steel, brass or nickel silver. Balls are made of tungsten carbide, which contributes to consistent writing.

BIC® Sticky Note™ products are produced with high-quality, 60# paper stock. There are no extra charges for full bleeds, flood coats or stock backgrounds. To provide high-quality, vibrant, full-color imprints; we use a colorimeter to measure imprint color correctness. Our G7 color-managed workflow creates additional measures of color control and efficiency on all orders. BIC® Sticky Note™ products also have an adhesive that is tested for peel strength and glue adhesion.
