In business most people strive for happiness and productivity. However, it can be difficult and stressful to be as productive as we’d like to be, which can lead to feeling unhappy. So, is it really our circumstances that prevent us from feeling content and motivated or is it just a state of mind? (1)
The practice of gratitude is beginning to hit its stride in the workplace, thanks to studies that show appreciation can lead to:
- More positive emotions
- Less stress
- Fewer health complaints
- A greater sense that goals can be achieved
- Fewer sick days
- Higher job satisfaction
Gratitude and appreciation help employees enjoy coming to work because they don’t just feel like a minor component of a much bigger machine. As business owners, practicing gratitude can change your outlook, improve company culture and let your clients know you appreciate their business. (2)
What We’re Thankful For
This year at BIC Graphic NA, we practiced gratitude by sharing business wins that created positive energy and identifying misses as an opportunity to grow. We are thankful for a hard-working team that embodies our People Powers and strives to deliver a great experience for the people we appreciate most – our customers!
New brand partnerships also gave us plenty to be grateful for in 2019! We joined forces with HanesBrands to bring apparel into our product assortment. Partnerships with Tervis®, Caran d’Ache® and Osprey® allowed us to bring these popular retail brands to our customers and we also united with industry veterans, Peerless Umbrella and Cap America,to help expand their reach.
