Shipping Team Lead – Saint Petersburg, FL
Today we honor Marcus as a BIC Graphic North America Hero for always going above and beyond for our customers. He takes the time to make sure their orders ship correctly, together and on time – among so many other things!
Marcus has been with BIC Graphic NA for about 10 years, and began as a temp working in shipping. He also spent some time in production as an #RS assembler, but was hired permanently as a shipper and eventually earned the position of Shipping Team Lead.
Day-to-day, Marcus assists the Customer Care Team, Sales and Distributors while working with Manufacturing on any shipping issues or questions. His team focuses on addressing things efficiently and accurately so Manufacturing is able to ship complete orders the same day for our customers.
The People Power Marcus is most passionate about is One Team, so it is no surprise that his favorite part being a BIC Graphic NA Team Member is getting to work with his amazing team and colleagues everyday! Lately, he has been excited to learn our new TMS (transportation management system), problem-solve any issues and work through the hurdles that come with implementing a new process.
Marcus’s favorite BIC Graphic NA item is the #ICLGEL BIC® Intensity® Clic™ Gel Pen, but if you ask which products he uses the most it would be anything from our Koozie® brand.
Outside of work, Marcus is primarily focused on keeping his three young kids entertained. Between Alyssa (7), Myles (6) and Mayson (3) plus the “farm” he has at home that includes five dogs, three cats, a saltwater fish tank and a ferret – his spare time is limited! He enjoys taking the kids to Busch Gardens, the beach, fishing, playing Fortnite or anything else that keeps them busy. Marcus is also BEYOND what you’d call a big New York Jets fan. So much so, in fact, that is sons’ room is painted Jets green and white!
