Today we honor Mike as a BIC Graphic North America Hero for bringing our name change campaign to life! Mike has really Raised the Bar with his thoughtful eye and creative abilities. He’s collaborated with Marketing to create internal and external videos that are both entertaining and educational. Plus, he is ready to jump in at a moment’s notice and is always happy to help out.
Mike has been with BIC Graphic NA for 7 years this coming January. He has worked as an Artist the entire time with responsibilities as a Vspec Artist, britePix® Design Artist, and Coop Artist. Day-to-day his tasks include customer art set-up, QA and maintaining customer/sample coop art. This year, Mike split his time between artist responsibilities and stepping up to provide motion graphic/video editing support for the Marketing Team.
In fact, the ongoing internal Stewart and Scout video series is what Mike is currently most excited to work on. He enjoys seeing all the different pieces come together and says adding the music is always a highlight of the process.
Mike is most passionate about BIC Graphic NA’s One Team People Power. “Working in a team is vital when it comes to the video part of my job,” he says. “The folks in marketing are so talented and I rely on them for their creative insight and vision.”
Meeting new and interesting people and honing his graphic design skills are Mike’s favorite parts of working at BIC Graphic NA. “I’m grateful and feel a sense of fortuitousness being involved in fun and exciting projects that I never imagined I’d be a part of when I first began my career here,” he says.
Mike’s favorite BIC Graphic NA product is the stunning #35621 Eagle Award with 4″ Lighted Pedestal by Pino Signoretto. In his spare time, Mike enjoys finding new music, hiking, rock tumbling, exploring YouTube and traveling. The next time you see him, ask about that time in 2012 when he was recognized by his local fire department for carrying a baby out of a burning house! Actually, that was the first time Mike had ever held a baby.
