New technology brings enhanced services to desk pads, executive calendars,
and contractor calendars

(September 16, 2026 – Clearwater, FL) Koozie Group has installed a state-of-the-art digital web press at its Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, manufacturing facility, the latest milestone in a decades-long history of manufacturing investment and innovation.

For distributors, the new press delivers immediate advantages on three of Koozie Group’s most popular product lines: desk pads, executive calendars, and contractor calendars. Full-color imprinting is now standard on all three at no additional cost, and all 75 of these styles will now have guaranteed inventory. Additionally, Triumph® Calendars desk pads, executive calendars, and contractor calendars will have reduced minimum order quantities.

For more than 70 years, Koozie Group’s Sleepy Eye facility has been a driving force in promotional calendars, and today produces approximately 49 million calendars annually, more than any other facility in North America. That scale is the product of a sustained commitment to reinvesting in manufacturing technology, a strategy that continues to set the pace for the industry.

The new digital web press marks the latest chapter in that investment strategy. Unlike traditional plate-based printing, digital web press technology eliminates costly setup and changeover time, enabling faster art-to-press turnaround, more efficient short-run production, and consistent color from the first piece to the last. This gives Koozie Group greater flexibility to respond to distributors’ changing needs.

The scale of the new equipment underscores Koozie Group’s commitment to production capacity. The press stretches approximately 70 feet, nearly half the length of a basketball court, and it moves paper through the system at 436 feet per minute, producing 16 complete contractor calendars every minute. That capacity ensures Koozie Group can continue to meet distributor demand without compromising on speed or quality.

“This investment reflects both our commitment to innovation and commitment to our community,” said Jeff Ibberson, Sleepy Eye Site Manager. “Our team has a strong reputation in the calendar industry, and this new technology ensures we continue that leadership while creating technology-forward jobs that appeal to today’s workforce.”

Installation of the new equipment has been underway for several months. The first calendar rolled off the press in early April, and nearline finishing operations are now up and running so product can move easily and efficiently from printing through completion.

The Sleepy Eye facility holds both Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) certifications, giving distributors added assurance that Koozie Group’s calendar products are backed by responsible, verified paper sourcing.
