A Bit of History
In 1946 two Detroit engineers, Frank Cotter and G. Howlett Davis, created the world’s first insulated drinkware. This invention of a permanently sealed, double wall tumbler kept hot drinks hotter and cold drinks colder for longer. As a result, with a simple combination of the last three letters of the Cotter and Davis names, “Tervis” was born.
Fast forward to the 1960’s when an adventurous and entrepreneurial family, the Donnellys, purchased the product rights. The family moved the company Florida while also improving and expanding upon the original design. Meanwhile, the introduction of new decorations, emblems and colors created drinkware as unique as their consumers. This third generation family-owned-and-operated business now employs more than 900 people and is celebrating over 70 years of success. (2)

Tervis double-wall insulated drinkware is functional and customizable with colorful accent lids and imprints. Their classic tumblers are made with clear TRITAN® plastic for clarity, strength and durability. They keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold, as well as being microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe.
Tervis® stainless steel tumblers and sport bottles have double wall vacuum insulation with premium grade copper lined 18/8 stainless steel. Therefore, this high-quality drinkware keeps beverages ice cold for 24 hours or piping hot for 8 hours.
Full color imprint, acetate inserts or dye sub emblems are available through BIC Graphic NA and imprinted via Tervis factory direct. For the purpose of quick turnaround; BIC Graphic NA offers 1-color, 1-location imprints on the outside of Tervis® drinkware with 24 hour service.
