Stay Warm with Fleece

Fleece is the go-to material of choice for many outdoor adventurers because it is incredibly lightweight and packs easily into small bags. The material insulates body heat by trapping warm air, keeping the wearer protected from outdoor temperatures.

Fleece also wicks moisture away from the body. If sweat is held against the skin for long enough it will lower body temperature. Fleece helps wick this moisture away to then evaporate and keep the wearer feeling fresh and warm. Additionally, its lightweight fibers allow it to dry very quickly if caught in the rain or snow. Koozie® beanies are lightweight yet durable with stretch for added comfort. The double layer fleece lining provides extra warmth for cold winter months while details like an imprinted cuff or two-tone band show off classic Koozie® style.

Wind & Water Protection

If you encounter strong winds and when camping, you want to feel confident your tent won’t fall down around you in the middle of the night. Knowing a tent has the strength to remain standing will give you peace of mind, but there are also a few more factors to consider so you stay insulated from the elements.

  • Height – It’s convenient to have headroom, but too much can have your tent gone with the wind.
  • Weight – A tent with single walls is lighter and less bulky but double walls or a canopy cover help your tent stay strong.
  • Doors – Two doors may be nice, but can create a wind-tunnel effect that causes instability. (2)

Campers looking to get away from the cold ground are turning to hammock camping. In fact, the NPD Group says sales of sleeping hammocks doubled from $26 million to $53 million from 2013 to 2015. “Hangers” find hammock camping to be more comfortable and it eliminates the problem of rain coming in under a tent. Quilts used by hammockers can be easily attached underneath the hammock and also often weigh less than sleeping bags and pads that tent users use to stay insulated from the unforgiving ground. (3)

Each end of the hammock is equipped with a carabiner and tree-friendly straps for securing to hard surfaces. The attached imprinted pouch can hold valuables while in use and also stows the hammock for easy transport.

If you’re heading out on the water for the day, a dry sack is a great way to keep valuables and electronics insulated from the wet conditions. The plastic-coated polyester material creates an impermeable, water-ingress protected bag. It is essential to ensure the roll top closure is folded at least three times to create an insulated, watertight seal. (4)
