Today we honor Mary for effectively highlighting issues and showing sound judgement when making decisions that are critical for our customers’ satisfaction. She always recognizes the potential in others and goes above and beyond to exceed customer expectations.
Mary joined BIC Graphic NA in 2000 as a temp in the screen room. Since then she has worked as a printer operator, MFG Admin, MFG Scheduler and Supervisor. She left the company in 2017 but returned earlier this year as a Master Scheduler.
On a typical day, you will find Mary scheduling orders, machine hours and labor hours to meet customer needs. She reviews daily orders with Supervisors, answers rush requests, provides reports for management, and communicates with other departments; doing her part to make sure production is running smoothly.
Mary’s favorite part of working at BIC Graphic NA is the people she works with every day. She also enjoys how the tasks of her role are like a puzzle, making sure all the pieces fit so everything turns out right.
The BGNA People Power that Mary is most passionate about is Own it. Mary encourages her teammates to be accountable for their chosen positions and responsibilities. She doesn’t want people to be afraid to make a decision, because at least being decisive shows your ability to make a choice. Even a wrong decision is a chance to learn and grow if you own it.
Mary’s favorite product is the #CL BIC® Clic™ Pen. She is excited about every project she is a part of that helps build a positive future for BIC Graphic NA.
Outside of work, you will find Mary spending time with her son, playing softball and watching The Bachelor with friends. Her 20- and 21-year-old daughters are separated by 17 years from her son who will be three in November.
