In a recent survey conducted by the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI), roughly two-thirds of distributors (67%) predicted that their 2023 sales will be greater than they were in 2022.

You have big plans to grow your business, and our The What’s What has lots of inspiration you can use to make that happen. In its pages, you’ll find target markets, info about key categories, and all you need to know about Koozie Group’s bestselling products. The book also focuses on the four trends we’re watching in 2023 that can help you move the needle on sales revenue. Let’s explore them.

Life Is Better Outside

People fled outdoors during the pandemic to combat cabin fever brought on by quarantining. The outdoor market remains strong, according to Outdoor Industry Association. The group reports that participation in outdoor recreation is “sticky;” once someone starts an outdoor activity, they are likely to stay with it. Coolers, golf balls, collapsible wagons, chairs, and more – Koozie Group has the gear to make a foray into the woods or an afternoon on the water more fun.

Take the #26278 GCI Outdoor™ Kickback Rocker™. This compact chair features a patented technology that delivers a smooth rocking action on flat, hard, or soft terrain. It’s built slightly lower to the ground than standard camp chairs, providing a relaxed feeling the moment you sit down. The bagless design makes it easy to pack up and go – just use the built-in carry strap to easily tote it. Better yet? It’s on special through June 30, 2023! Find it in our semiannual The Real Deals flyer.

Do More of What Makes You Happy

Another holdover from the height of the pandemic, self-care remains a goal for many. The Global Wellness Institute™ predicts that by 2025, the global wellness economy will reach nearly $7 trillion. Self-care extends beyond exercise to encompass a wide range of activities that feed our bodies, minds, and souls. Think meditation, aroma therapy, reading, hanging out with pets, spending more time with friends and family… in general, doing more of what makes you happy.

Yoga is a great practice for managing stress, building strength and flexibility, and creating more energy and a brighter mood, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine.  The #41096 Yoga Mat with Shoulder Strap provides a cushy spot for your daily poses. The built-in elastic bands and shoulder strap make it easy to roll up, secure, and carry.

Small Choices = Big Impacts

Sustainability is more than a buzzword. Over 70% of Americans say that a product’s environmental friendliness is a factor in their purchasing decision according to GreenPrint’s Business of Sustainability Index. Yet almost three-fourths don’t know how to identify these types of products.

Helping your customers understand the sustainability landscape can give you a leg up. Use The What’s What as a reference to learn about eco-terms and greener materials. You’ll also find products that have earned our KG Factor designation, which helps identify products that lessen environmental impact through longevity.

The #P3A3A25 Souvenir® Sticky Note™ 3” x 3” Pad, 25 Sheet is the perfect example of a business essential made better by sustainable materials. This desktop necessity uses paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) and has also earned the KG Factor designation. In fact, all our adhesive notepads now carry the FSC® label on their backer sheet to let your customers know their materials have been responsibly sourced.

Stronger Together

Our workplaces and communities are stronger when all voices are invited to the table. The global rewards and recognition company Vantage Circle forecasts a variety of diversity and inclusion trends for 2023, including an evolving remote workforce, navigating multigenerational teams, supporting employees’ mental health, and eliminating unconscious bias. Celebrating and respecting the culture, traditions, and unique perspectives of all employees is the right thing to do and, in fact, helps drive business success, according to McKinsey & Company.

Case Study

Simple and intentional acts can help others feel included. To celebrate diversity in its workforce, a company held a cultural potluck where employees could bring in a dish from their original or adoptive culture to share. Each employee who attended was given a #65221 Silicone Awareness Wrist Band that had the words “Stronger Together” printed on it. Employees were encouraged to wear the wrist bands at the gathering and during regular work hours as a sign of unity.

Since we don’t have a crystal ball at our disposal, we can’t be certain how our predictions for these 2023 trends will pan out. We can be certain, however, that The What’s What can be The How’s How of building your business. And maybe it’ll be just the tool you need to join The Who’s Who of promotional products distributors.
